Senior Pastor, Richard Bartel, directs the entire staff at Calvary and handles most preaching responsibilities.  Under his leadership, the Word is taught in a straight-forward, relevant way applicable to the needs and problems found in every day life.

 Richard not only delivers Biblical truths from the pulpit, he strives to lead by example. He is actively involved in shepherding the congregation between church meetings and extends his compassion for all people through organizing a wide variety of community outreach and homeland mission activities.     Richard has an undergraduate degree from Louisiana State University in Shreveport and a Master's of Divinity degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth.  Richard is currently working on his Doctor of Ministry degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. 

Richard has been serving at Calvary since 1997.
